Message from the Provost Search Committee
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Thank you to all who participated in the online survey and various outreach meetings conducted over the summer in preparation of the Provost Leadership Profile. We are pleased that the profile has been completed and is now posted here. The next step is the recruiting phase in which the WittKieffer consultants will conduct a robust advertising and recruiting campaign to attract candidates from across the country.
In order to best prepare the search committee to evaluate potential candidates, we will be hosting a series of open forums for faculty, staff and students to share with us directly their concerns and expectations regarding the search. We encourage you to attend a session to share your thoughts:
- What are the most pressing issues and concerns facing Santa Clara today of which candidates should be aware?
- What credentials, experience, talents, skills, leadership style or other attribute will be the most important keys to the provost's success?
The sessions will be held as follows:
Staff Open Forums:
September 25, 11:00am-12:00pm, Williman Room
September 30, 3:00-4:00pm, Williman Room
Faculty Open Forums:
September 25, 3:00-4:00pm, Williman Room
September 30, 10:00-11:00am, Williman Room
Student Open Forums:
September 25, 4:00-5:00pm, Williman Room
September 30, 1:00-2:00pm, Williman Room
We continue to welcome your feedback. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please email the committee at provostsearch@scu.edu. If you wish to nominate a candidate or introduce us to other parties who might identify potential candidates, please send your confidential nominations directly to WittKieffer at: SantaClaraProvost@wittkieffer.com.
Thank you, and we hope to see you at one of the open forums.
Regards,
George Chacko
